I recently participated in a fund raising auction for ex-race track horses that have been rescued or re-homed to find a new career after racing. It was held locally at Remington Park racetrack in OKC, and after some thought, I decided I wanted to be a part of it. This painting, a popular pose I revisit often, was my contribution. I will be sure to paint more of these, I just love that vertical headset with cascading forelocks.

"Itch"

I invite you to stop by during First Friday in the Paseo of OKC August 1st from 6PM till 10PM at the Contemporary Art Gallery for their "Oklahoma Art Great and small" show where I have entered for sale and exhibit the acrylic paintings "Itch" and "#22 June 22nd" of the Summer 2013 60 Series. This is my first exhibit participation with the Oklahoma Art Guild, and I'm pleased to be a part of this membership.
