Some years ago I had a lovely palomino dun paso fino mare who was nicknamed Goldie. She suffered from a physical ailment of the hooves that was painful. It was a condition that required time to heal, and to see her uncomfortable made me feel so upset. I painted this 16"x 20" acrylic to express my feelings, it's titled ©"Goldie's Pain".
